Tools menu reference

The Tools menu contains the wind and growth wizards and tools to adjust lighting, scale, and forces.

To open the menu, select Tools from the top menu bar.

PropertyDescription
Generate collision primitivesAdd collision objects to the model.
Render ambient occlusion Add ambient occlusion to the model.
Clear ambient occlusion Remove ambient occlusion from the model.
Create geometry force from selected generators Enable a geometry force on the selected generator.
Scene unit conversion Convert your model to a different unit of measure. See Units.
Arbitrary scene scale Scale the scene by a numeric value. For example, you can make the scene roughly twice its current size by entering a value of 2.
Wind wizard Open the Wind Wizard to add or edit wind effects on the model. See VFX Wind or Games Wind.
Growth wizard Open the Growth Wizard to start setting up growth on the model. Growth works closely with the Timeline bar.
Remove unused assets Delete all imported materials and meshes that aren’t currently applied to the model. Use this option to clean up your file and reduce unnecessary bulk.
Reset lightmap scalars Set all lightmap scalars to 1.0 except for the leaves. See Lightmap UVs.
